After a refreshing break our Social bowls reporter has returned – Welcome back Ian. i am sure many will appreciate your reports again.
It was an idyllic day for bowls, with blue skies and and pleasant breeze. The greens were running well for the 64 players who attended the meet, which included one set of Pairs.
It was good to see Mick Valentine at bowls after a long absence. So welcome back Mick.
This week’s two game winners were Wayne Mack, Wayne Haskett and Eric Harris with a score of 54 points and 16 shots up. Close runners-up were Tom Eldridge-Smith, Jim Woodhouse and Peter Tiss on 54 points and 11 shots up.A thank you to Tim Arbon and the grounds staff for the work they do in keeping the greens and surrounding areas in good shape, Les Scott for running the raffle and Rob Jackway for helping in the office.
The number drawn for this week’s jackpot of $65 was +19. As nobody claimed the jackpot it will carryover into next week. Garry Swalling won the draw for the hotel voucher.
Please remember face masks must still be worn while in the club rooms, unless you are sitting down eating or drinking.
