At first there was some doubt about the event happening as the day’s weather forecast of a cold, wet day with possible hailstones in the afternoon wasn’t looking good. However, apart from a mid morning shower, the 60 players who attended were able to commence play as conditions gradually brightened up during the afternoon.
This week’s two game winners were A Dayman, Dave Carter and Josh Thompson who scored 54 points with 31 shots up. In second place were Garry Swalling, Geoff Cutler and Roger Atkins on 53 points and 13 shots.
A thank you to Tim Arbon, Ken Raymond and their crew of volunteers for maintaining the greens, Wayne Mack for running the raffle and Rob Jackway for helping in the Office.
The number drawn for this week’s jackpot of $60 was -5 and was won by the team of David Brown, John Tait and Bill Ryan. Next week will be the start of a new jackpot.
