It was good to see attendance up this week. The weather was pleasantly warm with a welcome breeze. A field of 22 teams competed the day’s event which presented them with a challenge, as alternating games were played on both grass and synthetic surfaces.
This week’s winners and grinners are:
1st Game Winners: Shorty, Sue Stevens and Matthew Krebbex on 27 points + 7 shots
2nd Game Winners: Peter Tiss, Wayne Lindsay and Ron Troost on 27 points + 9 shots
2 Game Winners: Cynthia Stewart, Sheila Dempsey and Peter Stewart on 57 points + 20 shots
2 Game Runner-up: Michael Gill, Brian Hodkinson and Yenneke Lovell on 54 points + 16 shots
This week’s jackpot draw for $115 was -30 (last week it was +30). As nobody claimed the prize the jackpot will carryover into next week’s draw. A thanks to Les Scott for running the raffle and Wayne Mack who donates the prizes for the resting touchers. Also. thank you to Tim Arbon and crew who manage the greens, which includes keeping the synthetic greens clear of leaves, etc, that blow in from the adjacent trees.
Please keep in mind, if the weather forecast on Thursday indicates the temperature for Friday will reach 35 C degrees or more, play will start an hour earlier at 11:00 AM.
