It was an idyllic day for bowls with 84 players making up a field of 28 triple teams, who played alternate games on C & D greens. ‘Fagin’ was again in favour, munching on donations from players who inadvertently bowled a ‘wrong-un’.

The lucky number for this week’s jackpot prize of $85 was 7 which was won by Wendy Klopp, David Martin and Ken Pringle, who shared it with their opposing team. Thanks to Rob Jackway for helping with preparations for the day’s event, Janice Byles for selling the raffle tickets and Les Scott for conducting the draw. Thanks also to Carol Daniels for helping in the kitchen.
Could players please advise the club by no later than 10:30am on the morning of the event if unable to attend on the day (Tuesday or Friday). This allows organizers time to review the list of players available and settle on the number of teams/rinks required in time for the day’s event. It’s unsettling for both the organizers and available teams if players/rinks have to be reshuffled because of late notification just prior to the start time.
