Heavy showers persisted during the morning casting doubts as to whether the fixture would be cancelled. Nevertheless, apart from one brief shower during the first game, play continued without further disruption for the rest of the afternoon. It was encouraging to see the 47 players players who attended were not deterred from playing on the heavy greens.
This week’s winners were Alan Gosling, Jimmy Youngson and Graham Fishlock on 55 points and 10 shots up. Wayne Mack, Brian Hodkinson and Eric Harris were second with 54 points and 20 shots up.
A thank you to Tim Arbon and the grounds staff for the work they do in keeping the greens and surrounding areas in good shape. Thanks to Les Scott for conducting the raffle draw, also Rob Jackway for helping out in the office.
This week’s jackpot draw for $195 was -2. As no team claimed the prize the jackpot will carryover into next week.
