Pennant Bowling
If you want a challenge then pennant is the game for you. Consider playing for the Modbury Bowling Club in the local SA Metropolitan Bowls Association Competition. You will be competing with other clubs from around the Metropolitan area, where you would be wearing the club colours and strive to get to and win the finals.
Night Owls
Want the challenge of a formal competition in a relaxed and fun format then Night Owls is the game for you. Get a team of four people together and register to play for the Night Owls season. If you don't have a team? Don't worry we can help put you together with others to make a team This is a very relaxed competition where you will meet people, have a drink and play the great game of bowls under lights. The Modbury Bowling Club offers Night Owls on Wednesday and Thursday Nights.
Social Bowls
Looking for just a casual game of bowls during the week, then Social Bowls in the game for you. The Modbury Bowling Club has social bowls competitions every Wednesday and Friday; During Pennant Competition Recess (Winter) Saturday Get a group together to make a team or just put your name down to be put together with like minded bowlers. This is a great fun way to play the game and meet others. Cash prizes go the the winners of each day. Put your name down today.
Indoor Bowls
During the Winter months and outside of the normal pennant season we offer Indoor Bowls. Playing with smaller bowls on special bowling mats within our club rooms you will be able to play no matter what the weather conditions are. We offer Indoor Pennant bowls and social bowls. Taylor's Cup
The South Australia Lawn Bowlers League puts together the Taylor's Cup Challenge every year where clubs can compete at Gold, Silver and Bronze levels. This is a different format where teams play in different disciplines of the sport against other clubs. If you are interested in playing in this competition please contact the club for further information.
Modbury Bowling Club was established in 1958 and has been supporting the local community with Bowling and venue hire.
We have many competitions available, including Night Owls, Pennants, Social, Club Champions, Open Tournaments and Taylors Cup.
