There was a slight breeze that probably helped to keep the temperature down, but the 48 players who attended were glad to get back in the clubhouse for some respite from the hot weather.
1st Game Winners: Stephanie Mulhearn , Mark Taylor and Jeff Roe on 27 points + 11 shots
2 Game Winners: Ian Edwards, Lou Fitzgerald and Derek Hostler on 57 points + 17 shots
2 Game Runners-up: John Foley, Kym Klopp and Ian McPhillips on 57 points + 13 shots
This week’s ‘lucky’ number for the jackpot draw was 24, which is based on the number of shots up in the second game. Next week’s draw is expected to reach about $400, and the numbers will be drawn until there is a definite winner.

If a player is in doubt about playing conditions in the hot weather, please contact the club by no later than 10:30 AM on the day of the event to verify if bowls are still on. It is unfair to other team players who have attended and it leaves it difficult for organizers to make changes to the teams at the last minute.
Please note: Modbury Bowling Club will be closed from Monday 22nd December 2025 and will reopen on Monday 5th January 2026.
