It is with great pleasure that I can announce that our hard-working House Manager, Les Scott, has been chosen as a finalist for Bowls SA Volunteer of the Year 2020-21.
The winner of this prestigious award will be announced at The Bowls SA Awards Night, to be held at Morphettville Racecourse, Adelaide Cup Room – upper level, on the evening of Friday 21st May 2021.
Many members may not be aware that Les has held volunteer positions in our club through Seven Presidents. He has been our current House Manager for Four years; previously he has been a Night Owls Manager, Wednesday and Friday Social Bowls Coordinator, Sponsorship Officer and Bar Manager. Concurrently with a number of these jobs he also ran our club raffles for a number of years, all the while entertaining members with his repertoire of jokes.
Les will most certainly have serious opposition for this Award but I am sure all members will be barracking for him. He would be a worthy winner.
