It got warmer as the day progressed. Thankfully there was a slight breeze that gave players some relief until they returned to the club rooms. There were 22 teams of triples and two pair that attended the meet. Games alternated between “A” and “C” greens with a few players commenting on how fast “A” green was. It seemed most players must have been concentrating on their game this week as there was only one player who bowled a wrong bias.
This week’s winners were Michael Gill, Bart Lengs and Yenneke Lovell with a score of 54 points and 24 shots up. Ron Troost, Peter Tiss and Ken Griffiths were in second place scoring 53 points and 14 shots up.
A thank you to Tim Arbon and the grounds staff for the work they do in keeping the greens and surrounding areas in good shape. Les Scott and Wayne Mack for running the raffle. David Martin and George Swandale for helping in the office.
The number drawn for this week’s jackpot of $70 was -17. As nobody claimed the jackpot it will carryover into next week.
