The warm humid conditions seem to be prevailing with little relief other than a slight breeze during the afternoon. There were 20 teams of triples and two pair that attended the meet. Play commenced on both “A” and “B” greens with some teams alternating between the two greens after half time. This week several players undertook the “walk of shame” having bowled a wrong bias, a far cry from last week’s single player.
This week’s winners were Ron Troost, Ken Griffiths and Peter Tiss with a score of 55 points and 27 shots up. In second place were John Eldridge, Kevin Neumann and Ken Williams with a score of 54 points and 28 shots up.
A thank you to Tim Arbon and the grounds staff for the work they do in keeping the greens and surrounding areas in good shape. Peter Tiss and Ken Griffiths for selling the raffle tickets and Les Scott for running the raffle. Also, Rob Jackway for helping in the office and placing the mats and kitties out.
The number drawn for this week’s jackpot of $135 was -16 which was won by Rob Cooper, Carol Daniels and Kevin Rebbeck.
Please remember face masks must still be worn while in the club rooms, unless you are sitting down eating or drinking.
Keep them rolling,
Graham Fishlock and Ian McPhillips
