It was good to hear plenty of banter and conversation around the greens as players enjoyed a pleasant day of bowls. 22 teams of triples played alternate games on C and D Greens. Our guide dog ‘Fagin’ is still being well fed by donations from players who had a wrong bias. We’ll soon have to get a replacement as he’s putting on a bit of weight.

This week’s ‘lucky’ number for the jackpot draw of $315 was 15, which is based on the number of shots up in the second game. As no one claimed the prize, the jackpot will carry over into next week’s draw. Thanks to Rob Jackway for coming in early to help with the day’s proceedings, Les Scott for selling the raffle tickets and running the draw.

Just a reminder, membership fees for 2025/26 are now due by 30th August 2025 and are to be paid directly at the club. Payments made by the 30th June 2025 will receive a $25 bonus which will be added to your membership card for use at the club bar.
