It was a an ideal day for bowls with temperatures in the mid 20’s and a slight breeze. 76 players attended the event made up of 24 teams of triples and 2 pairs, who played alternative games on C and D greens. A number of regulars and not so regular suffered a moments lapse of concentration and consequently walked the walk of shame to donate funds to feed a hungry ‘Fagin’.
This week’s winners and grinners were:
1st Game Winners: Alan Atkinson, Vic Hill and John Stevens on 28 points +5 shots
2nd Game Winners: Jennifer Scott, Ian Edwards and Daryl Mackiewicz on 29 points +10 shots
2 Game Winners: George Swandale, David Windram and Mike Schonfeldt on 55 points +17 shots
2 game Runners-up: John Foley, Kym Klopp and Ian McPhillips on 54 points and 12 shots
The jackpot draw for $150 was 27. As there was no winner the jackpot will carryover over to next week. Thanks to Janice Byles for selling the raffle tickets and Les Scott for running the raffle. Also a thanks to George Swandale for coming in early to help with the day’s proceedings and Daryl Mackiewicz for filling in, as we needed an extra player.
