After a marathon series of 4 knockout games (each 18 ends) on Sunday 20th November, our Modbury team outlasted the Ascot Park team of Sam Dietrich, Sam Denton and Mitch Percy.
With 10 ends played Modbury led by 11 shots: However, at end 18 Ascot Park had fought back to trail by just 3 shots. Modbury held shot with Mitch Percy playing his last bowl to kill the end. His drive did remove the shot and Ascot Park then held 2 shots. The match was then over with Gary Meekcoms not required to play his last bowl to give the Modbury Boys a well earned 1 shot win.
