90 players attended the event which turned out to be a little cooler than expected. ‘Fagin’ suffered a hunger strike this week as only three players walked the walk of shame to feed the starving pooch.

2 Game Runner-up: Cynthia Stewart, Sheila Dempsey and Peter Stewart on 54 points +7 shots
This week’s jackpot was divided into four amounts of $240, which was given to four lucky teams whose numbers were drawn from the barrel. The remaining balance of $110 dollars will carry over into next week’s jackpot. Thanks to Les Scott for running the raffle and Rob Jackway who came in early to help with preparations for the day’s event.
Hot pies and pasties are available at the club – just put your name and preference on the list provided at the bar or try some of Jose’s hot soup.
Don’t forget, if you wish to put your name down for the following Friday’s event, do so as you enter the club to avoid missing out on a game; Friday bowls are proving to be popular with a number of players. An entry list is placed on the notice board every Friday by 11:00 AM. If you wish to delete a name from the attendance sheet please make sure you cross out the right name, as it’s not fair and embarrassing for the player who turns up thinking they are still booked in for a game.
