Although the temperature forecast was supposed to reach 18C several players opted to wear warmer clothing as the breeze began to get cooler during the afternoon. Teams consisted of 22 triples and 4 pairs who played alternate games on A and C Greens. Our guide dog ‘Fagin’ was well fed by donations from a number of players who had a wrong bias. The Guide Dogs SA/NT are grateful for the contributions which go to a worthy cause.
This week’s winners and grinners:
1st Game Winners: Roy Hills, Gary Wright and Kevin Neumann on 27 points + 17 shots
2nd Game Winners: John Foley, Kym Klopp and Ian McPhillips on 27 points + 5 shots
2 Game Winners: Brenda Porter, Mike Porter and Alan Whitmarsh on 58 points + 38 shots
2 Game Runners-up: Wayne Mack, John Linhart and Kym Butterfield on 55 points + 25 shots
This week’s ‘lucky’ number for the jackpot draw of $250 was 6. A loud cheer went up when the jackpot number was announced, but the joy quickly subsided as realisation set in that three groups had the same number. As there was no single winner, the jackpot will carry over into next week’s draw. Thanks to Rob Jackway for coming in early to help with the day’s proceedings, Kevin Neumann for selling the raffle tickets and Les Scott for running the draw.
A special thanks to Wayne Mack who sponsors vouchers for resting touchers for social games on Tuesdays and Fridays. Don’t forget to visit the Pro Shop for all your bowling needs.
Keep them rolling,
Graham Fishlock and Ian McPhillips

I’ve been wanting to join a bowls club but never had the chance.
I’m now semi retired and love to know how i can get involved.
I have no experience.
