Triples Results Friday 3rd February

What a day!  It being the coldest day for February since 1998.  Players were wondering whether it’s still summer or not, having to rug up against the cold gusty conditions interspersed with an occasional downpour of rain.  Nevertheless, it was a very good turnout with 84 players in attendance thankful that play was under cover.
This week’s winners and grinners are:
1st Game Winners:     Lee Arbon, Liz John and Vicki Arbon on 28 points + 11 shots
2nd Game Winners:    Des Campbell, Geoff Keynes and Rod Bahr on 29 points + 19 shots
2 Game Winners:        Peter Tiss, Wayne Lindsay and Ron Troost on 55 points + 12 shots
2 Game Runner-up:     Rob Jackway, Trevor Jackway and Mick Jones on 53 points + 14 shots
This week’s jackpot draw for $240 was +4, as nobody claimed the prize the jackpot will carryover into next week’s draw.  A thanks to Rob Jackway who assisted with preparations for the day’s event and Les Scott for running the raffle.  Also, thank you to Tim Arbon and crew who turn up early each Friday morning to prepare the greens prior to the day’s play.
Occasionally, we experience problems with cancellations – some players advise they called the club to request their name, or their team, be taken off the attendance list for the coming Friday, but unfortunately this information does not always get passed onto the organisers prior to the beginning of play.  This means having to reshuffle players or teams at the last minute.  To avoid this happening, it would be appreciated if players could notify club organisers of their non-attendance before 10:30 AM on the morning of play.  This does not apply to players who have personally crossed their name off the list.
Please keep in mind, if the weather forecast on Thursday indicates the temperature for Friday will reach 35 C degrees or more, play will start an hour earlier at 11:00 AM.
Keep Them Rolling,
Graham Fishlock and Ian McPhillips
