It was idyllic weather for bowls, cool at first but warming up as the day progressed. 68 players attended the meet made up of 20 triples and 4 pairs playing alternate games on both grass and synthetic. There was plenty of the usual banter on the greens, together with the ooh’s and ah’s as observers watched with keen interest when a shot hit the target or ended in a near miss. Credit should go to the grounds staff, who are constantly maintaining the greens and surrounds, especially the colourful display of roses that are currently in full bloom.

The jackpot draw for $70 was 25. As there was no winner the jackpot will carryover to next Friday. Thanks to Janice Byles for volunteering to sell the raffle tickets and Les Scott for running the raffle.
